Does Google Analytics give you accurate analytics data? Or is there another tool in the market to achieve accurate results?

I would say Google gives you better than most data compared with other website statistics software.

However, often definition of metrics as well as how the data are captured varies among different web stats software. As to say which one is really accurate is hard to say.

In one of my clients, we used WebTrends software ($ 10,000+ license fee), but shifted to the more expensive HBX ($ 25,000+ license fee) http://www.websidestory.com/products/web-analytics/hbx-analytics/overview.html — and traffic dropped by 20%. HBX measured visits, pageviews, uniques and other traffic differently. We’re now looking to shift to Google Analytics, and I will not be surprised if there’s a marked change in traffic because of changes in how the metrics are defined.

As to which one is more accurate — well if you spend a lot on web metrics, I suppose the one you are using and paying fees is the accurate one.
